My favorite tyre for the XT is Shinko 705 "Yokohama"
They work on evey surface apart from wet grass &
slushy mud.. Have a big contact patch & soft rubber
so yer can play road racer on the seal..
Prob wouldn't be great offroad in the UK winter.. But a dryer
climate they are black magic...

Unfortunately or fortunately, I live in North Scotland. Wet and soft is the norm. E09 is good for most terrain and lasts longer than most.
