brighter headlight???

Hi..I've been out most nights recently around narrow country lanes, all weathers, and my only gripe with my already much loved 06 xt660r is I could do with a lot brighter headlamp..I presume what's in mine is stock..but it's really inadequate.. there's no cats eyes..no signs..often no difference between tarmac, mud and grass..anything over 30-40 and it's white rhino time...much more light needed....any suggestions???..don't really want to upset the electrics with ballasts etc unless there's no other solution....thanks...

I tried everything from HID to higher wattage bulbs, still not much better. Get some additional lights like fogs or spots as they make a huge difference.

Just noticed your only up the road from me, i am just outside Ystradgynlais

+1 extra lights.

We have seen brighter bulbs melt/burn the XT's plastic head light.

Send a pm to J_maker and ask him about his front light mod that worked very well and is incredibly bright.

Hi,

I have fitted high power LED lights to XT
Some photos: http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=5752&page=29

My lights are BL1800 (3A power consumption) and I'm satisfied about brightness. There is available more powerfull BL3000 lights too (5A power consumption) .
