someone on here did similiar
H&B crash bars and a B & B (Aussie built much better) belly plate and they only took a smidgen out of the plate by using a round file and a bit of spare time...

have a look at this bashplate: http://www.enduropack.de/yamaha-xt660z.html Unfortunately it's only in german. But search for "XT660Z-Mo3" and you will get what you want  .
