mitas e-09 DAKAR
anyone using these on the TEN?
the Dakar one , not the normal one ... I'm running mefo explorers and they are great , but I want something ruff again , had the tck before but they lasted only 5000km the mefo are still fine after 9000 but it's time for something else ... I'm especially interested in how the perform on wet tarmac as I also drive the bike daily to commute and Belgium is quite wet ![]() thx ! |

I've had four or five pairs.
They just work. No drama in the wet, plenty of grip in the dry, last at least 5,000 miles, and knobbly enough for 99% of trail riding.

Hi,
i had the E-09 (no Dakar) on my Ten for my Iceland trip. Made 6500km an there is still thread left (~6mm). Cold and wet it ist ok, no grip-monster like tkc80, but it last longer with its harder rubber. I had no problems in cold wet Iceland, but shure I don't try to get my knees on the ground with a full packet Ten. Offroad it has plenty of grip, ok in mud it is limited, but better than TKC there, due to more negative thread of the tire. I will buy it again (had it in 140 width). bye |
