Tenere & Tank Bags

Hi folks,

Over the past few months I have been looking for a suitable bag for my tenere. I tried 2 and here's what happened.

1st was the Givi T480. This is suited to non-metallic tanks as it clips onto an adapter that surrounds the fuel filler cap. It's quite a large bag, once fully expanded you can almost fit a helmet in there. There's a comparment on the top for maps and also a recess for satnav/smartphones.

Once fitted to the bike, I found it quite high up and also found it too close to the handlebars. I'm a novice biker and need to be 100% happy with mods so time to search again.

2nd bag is SW Motech Quicklock Engage. Again it clips onto an adapter surrounding the fuel cap. It's half the size of the Givi bag but much less in your face. It's also curved so it suits the curves on the Tenere tank.

I've uploaded a few photos of the Givi bag and will upload some of the Sw Motech the next time I get a chance.

Hope this is useful to someone !

It certainly looks well made and you get what you pay for with luggage I've found.

Hi folks,

Finally got around to taking some photos of the new bag. It's a Bag Connection SW Motech Quicklock Engage.

Comes with a rain cover and attached to an adapter around the fuel cap.

I've got a Kriega tank harness on mine. Here it is with a US-5 and a map case attached...

The US-10 would go on fine, but I think the US-20 would probably start to get in the way.

I think there's some photos somewhere on this forum that Tripletom posted up of the 5, 10, and 20 fitted to his Ten.
