Spark plug
Hi
Recntly bought a new spark plug for the Ten. i know the Ten use CR7 plugs, i ordered an irridium one. When it arrived it was a CR7IEX. I presumed the IEX part just meant irridium. But the bit that goes into the HT lead is different...its fatter, so doesnt "click" in if you know what i mean. The Website i bought it of said it was for XT660Z Tenere. any ideas? |

You have to unscrew the silver 'fatter bit' to reveal the threaded bit that goes into the HT lead. If it doesn't come off by hand, use some grips or a vice lightly to unscrew it.

give it some welly Phil! (Blowtorch, WD40, mallet - take your pick.
![]() IIRC last time I held the fat bit in a vice and used a spanner to turn the spark plug - don't remember it being that tight though. Al

Steady! Some plugs are not designed to unscrew the top bit - learnt this the hard way as I sheared the plug in half!
