Karoo
Just fitted a 140/80x17 Karoo on my Tenere. Tested and is ok in mud stable on loose graded, stable in river beds, pretty good on dry tar and would imagine is as per knobbly on wet tar. ie, don't push your luck. Smiles better than the last two tyres which were Mitas CO2 but they have no equal in peat bogs but that's it. Longevity would be probably normal for me, which isna very long. lol.

Had a karoo on my old XTR when 2 days of off roading in middle england and felt so much more attached to the ground than the old TKC80's that i used for my last off roading trip. The karoo just seemed to grip better and even gripped well on the tarmac. Never tested its life as only used to for couple of hundred miles then took it off.

It is far superior to the TKC for grip off road and it's Tarmac manners are ace. It tells you when you're pushing your luck but without drama. Longevity is a joke.
