Protective Film

Saw somewhere on here - not cant find it - a link to a company that sells protective stick on film to cover the tank sides to stop scratching.

Anyone point me to the link or company?

I got stuff called ' helecopter tape ' Apparently used on leading edges on Chopper blades. Cyclists use it to protect their expensive moutain bikes from stone chips. Good stuff. E bay I think.

It's good stuff. If you apply it correctly, you can't see it and it's strong.

Got mine off ebay fro about 7 quid and there is enough for about six bikes so I can replace as needed. Also its slightly rough so a bit grippy for the knees.

Used a piece of printable acetate to make a template first so both sides are the same and I have kept the template to make more if and when I need to. Using a printable acetate enables you to make a template easily as you can see through it to mark it up before cutting.

Easy enough job but make sure your tank is clean and degreased first.
