Fuchs... I dont know what weight a XT is,, but for the life of me.. I dont see the point in making things in carbon to keep the weight down or even under 150kg,,, the xt is NO RACE BIKE... I wouldnt dream of doing that personaly with the gut i have.. am carrying 20 stone an a few pound... a dont know what that equates to in Kg.. but a bet theres a few there..am 6`5" an 20. 8 stone..an nearly 53 yrs young.so a think al lose the weight o ma clutch levers an get Holed ones to keep the weight down... ha ha ha... anyway,, if yer a light weight...around 12 stone, under 30 years o age..an thats yer thing... by all means GO FOR IT.. if it makes ye HAPPY....why not...

from the beginning the bike has 181kg (with a full tank). my last bike was down to 160kg but then it was stolen.
this bike i just had for some weeks and it is still at 170kg but i will go under 150kg with a full tank.
with all the carbonparts i will build ill save around 5-8kg then the buike will get many new parts wich i build by myself and get help by friends.
for example WP fork, wilbers shox, new tank, sadel, backtriangel of the frame be made of aluminium, tubeless wheels and so on and so on.

at least 30kg off will do a lot for the handling. my old bike was already an hole different bike in handling with just 20kg off.
then i even made some changes to the engine....

im not racing this bike but drive quite hard with it like to do that with a bike wich is fun to ride and "last forever" like the xt. i do around 25-30000km per year on the bike and do not like to do services all the time like on a ktm or husaberg...

how much i weigh? that is actually not importand for this as the bike will get better handling with for exemple a 60kg rider and even the same better handling with a 150kg rider.
