battery life

Hello all,

It took a very long time last winter to fully charge the tenere battery (bought in april 2009), where it only took a day or too to charge my VFR battery (battery changed in 2007).

Both were off the bikes and in a warm room in the house.

The tenere battery was flat after a few weeks not used, and recently, flat after a few days (3 days)

It seems to be charging fine when running, but doesn't last long.

I thought I had a leak/short somewhere, but then I remembered it took weeks to charge it last winter when it was off the bike...

How long have you kept your tenere battery before having to change it ?

Still runnin the first one, now after 57.000km. Always starts good, even after hybernation(connected to an Optimate charger). Also noted I hardly have any accessoires fitted to it, that is electrical(no electrical handwarmers, no GPS, no extra running lights and such); also always adding some vaseline spray to the poles of the battery.
