Lowering kit options

Ive decided to lower the the XT660Z to help when off roading. Ive looked at the metal mule dog bones that lower by 12-15mm and the OTR ones that lower by 50mm. Just wondering if anyone does something about 20mm??

Cheers

Lee

Think I will have to make do with the metalmule ones.

Haven't done one on the Ten, but a few years ago I fitted one to an old BMW F650 for my girlfriend at the time, just involves removing two bolts to free the existing dog bones, then putting the two bolts back in using the new dog bones, with a centre stand fitted it's and easy half hour job.

The Tenere took about 10 mins..

Put it on the side stand.
Get a friend to rock the bike a little and remove both nuts and bolts
remove bolts by rocking the bike to release any pressure

Reverse as above and use new dog legs.It really is that easy

but not with a SW-Motech centre stand installed. It hides the front bolt by a just fraction of a millimeter. Just enough to have the centre stand have to be disassembled too.
