Gsg Moto Crash Bungs

Has anybody tried these yet on their bikes. The site lists them for the X but as the engines are the same I would presume that they can be used on the R as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks

Dan.

Google is thy friend...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/YAMAHA-XT660X-...-/120613959900

Can't see that offering much protection...

(and yes they will work on the XYZ&R)

Far better than crash bungs apparently. These can't dig in and damage the frame or engine like bungs do.

ive got these Kit from otr wich looks the same on the left side like the ebay link.
i think this one is absolutly okej for the X for protection on the road as you are just sliding over the road.

but for real offroad use, i would take something else.
there would be no protection for hitting rocks and things like that

Not sure what the roads are like where you guys are but I can't imagine they are silky smooth with no pavements, pot holes debris lying around...similar to a race track where sliding along without hitting anything is probable. I considered buying a set but went for Givi bars instead as IMO I believe they offer much better engine protection, and they raise the bike slightly when lying on its side.

Also, Givi bars knocked about 10% off my insurance premium
