auxiliary fuse box on xtr

hi, i have a 6way fuse box that i want to add to my xtr, and because of it's size (43mm high), the only good place i found for it is in front of the snorkel. so, if i cut about 70mm of the snorkel and fit it in front of it, will it restrict the air intake? thanks and a HAPPY NEW YEAR
