Photos from the 'Riders Unite' MotoGP meet Cranbourne -> Phillip Island Convoy

Well a couple of thousand bikes braved the threatening Saturday morning conditions and it turned out to be a fine and partly Sunny day for the MotoGP. FYI two years ago when the Saturday morning weather was tip-top the event attracted it's peak turnout of 12,000 bikes!

The MRA 'Riders Unite' event is certainly well organized, marshals line the streets directing cars down the other side of the road, there is a few stalls and rock-climbing for the kids etc. The traffic signals flash amber to prevent the convoy from being seperated as Police lead the convoy out of town. The tail end is picked up by more police and ambulance personel. Fans and families line the side of the road sitting in utes, deck chairs etc. all the way along the highway right out past Tooradin!

Here's a few photos I took when I arrived at Cranbourne.
