Uprating front suspension??

Has anyone fitted new front springs to their X and what are your findings please (was thinking of Hyperpro) or is it better to change the fork oil to a thicker grade and fit spring spacers ?

There have been a few guys fitting them to there X & R's, there comments were an improvement over the standard springs.

Have a look in the modification index under 1/ Front Suspension springs & Fork Spacer Mod.

I got Wilbers springs and they're pretty good.
Not as a radical improvement compared to changing the rear shock to a Wilbers part though!

ive put 15w oil in my X ( like alot of others)and 8mm worth of spacers ( light weight rider)and it really helps the frontend under braking and gives a firmer FEEL when riding at a pace,its a cheap way of sorting frontend but if i had money to spare then springs to suit my weight and style would be a good way to go

I fitted Hyper-pro springs and thicker oil, really did make the world of difference and the front springs with oil are only around the �100 mark. Gave me much more confidence in the front end...

New springs arrived the other day and i have now fitted them and changed to a 15w oil easy job to do only took about 2 hours which i dont think was to bad as it was the first time i have taken a fork to pieces not had a chance to ride it yet as it was dark and icy
