incorrect speedo readings update
bike been at the garage for 2 weeks waiting to have new clock fitted, they phoned me and yamaha have said they cant get no new clocks till february. so they told me to come and collect bike, i asked what do i do when it wont start to which they answered we havent had any problems.arrived at the shop got my bike it started but all the warning lights were on so i turned it off then it wouldnt start. the mechanic came out and moved the wiring to the clocks and it started, i said this is no good what do i do if im out miles away , they said are you not taking it home to park it up. ( what for 3 months ) then they said they could disconnect the clocks, they did this (which is better than wrong speedo readings and warning lights on) . so im not very happy the bikes only 6 months old . the mechanic said it might be the ecu but yamaha said replace clocks first (ecu very expesive). what do you all think, should i ring yamaha or am i wasteing my time.
