Aaarrrgggghhh

I've had one of those weeks and it ain't finished yet.

Thursday evening leaving work, I pulled away without taking the disc lock off. First time I have ever done that in 30 years of riding.
Why do you fall off when you pull away in a straight line ?
Luckily, I left work fairly late so did not have an audience. Only damage is a small scrape on the righthand hand guard, and a patch of skin off my right knee. Oh, and a sore back the next day, from picking the bike up I suppose.

Then today I went to fit my new bikevis leds, bought via the link on this site.
Dismantalled most of the front of the bike, seat off, side panels etc. Then tried to remove the tank to get at the wiring underneath.
Stupidly I pulled it out of the front rubbers first, then tried to undo the fuel line and two connector blocks on the fuel pump.

I had to log into this site and do a search for the fuel line removal. Pulled the locking tab, but didn't know about the blue tabs that have to be pressed in.
Boy, were they tight. Then undid the green connector, the white was really stuck.
Went to repostion myself to get both hands on the connector, and the tank fell off the bike bounced once and ended upside down on the gravel. Worst thing was it pulled the wires out of the white connector block . One wire was still attached to the metal connector, which had pulled out of the block, the other snapped and left the metal connector inside the white block.

After much swearing and head scratching, I got the connector out of the block, soldered the broken wire onto the connector and put both in the connector block again.

Then I noticed I didn't need to remove the tank at all, the wiring I wanted to tap into was behind the headlight.

Then it went dark really quickly and started raining. Tools all over the driveway and bike half in bits.
Came inside to have a beer and calm down, Will try again tomorrow.

And then Huddersfield Town lost again, and are now behind Norwich in the table. Can it get any worse.
