Warranty repair...

I contacted my dealer today, asked about the surging and whether there was a fix for it.

I let them know that I know reasonably what I'm talking about and also mentioned xt660.com!

They said bring it in and they'll have a look. So we'll see!

A Power Commander with a custom fuel map, can't get much better then that. Unless the dealer can remap your ECU, or has some magic cure that we do not know of. Keep us in the loop as to what they say.

Well Kev, I removed the stage 2 filter.

I just been out for a 50 odd mile ride and the thing rode awfull.

I noticed, when riding on roads with high winds it was surging even at speed so im thinking that having that filter on the side there could be a problem. Only way to find out is to eliminate it.

Eitherway, I'm going to back track through mods to see if the surging worsens or lessens till wednesday which ill take off work to take it to the dealer for them to look at.

Hah...

took stage 2 off, rode worse. Turned fuel mod down to nothing, rode even worse!

I've refitted the stage 2 now and turned fuel mod down 6. Also re-fitted the o2 eliminator as I believe that 1 of the connectors MAY possibly have come loose.

Wont know how it rides untill tomorrow when I go to work.

Got wednesday booked off work too to take it to the dealer and ill take with me the original cover and suchlike.

I think I'd fitted the o2 eliminator wrong cause I pulled it off and refitted it with the stage 2 turned the temp down and now it runs a lot better!

Just got to setup the fuel mod and CO properly again now. Don't think ill take it back to the dealer today, so a nice day off for me!

So now, I've got all these O2 eliminators here now with nothing to do with them. I'll get a pic of one made up soonish and if anyone needs one then ill see what I can do!

If you think you have some left over resistors, have a look at all the extra items I have left over trying to work out this O2 Eliminator/Simulator mod.
