It's interesting reading, but the brakes probably don't lock up because they feel so spongy! I'll stick with trusting my right hand... it's worked for the last 27 years of riding.

My feelings exactly, I could not help but think the same, but I have been proved wrong by the Thecies before so wondered what there take on it would be.

Like yourself I have taken a bit of time to get used to the XTX not having a front brake that you can stop with with a couple of fingers. Takes a whole set of fingers and I have not felt any inclination that it would ever lockup.
