handle bar problems

Hello !

Has anyone had the same problem i have now?
After fitting acerbis handprotectors and thus removing the handlebar-ends from yamaha i cant ride at high speeds without my hands going numb from vibrating...
I'm thinking about bying an other handlebar or even filling the original one with sand or something but i rather hear about other XT-rider's opinions/suggestions first!

Thumbs up

Hi Mike
I have a set of EGO handguards fitted to a set of Renthal bars and i didn't notice any obvious difference over the steel bars. Hope this is useful.

Mike

Have you got the exact Yamaha ones with the metal running through them or cheaper version still made by Acerbis? I have seen copy ones that look exactly the same as the genuine Yamaha ones but they too could not fit the handlebar weights. They however did not experience this vibration.

I would say forget the sand in the handlebar trick, ditch the copy hand protectors and get the genuine article. I have genuine ones with the end weights in and have never regretted it or had the problem you have reported. The stock Yamaha bars are not the best but I say get better hand guards.

Cut corners else where but not hand protectors.

I have put my bar end weights on the outside of the guards,as if you drop the bike on it's side the metal bends and you have to take them off and hammer them back into shape ,never the same again ,trust me i have done it and learned the hard way
