Die Mond ~ Tankwa

I did the Old Postal route in 2013
I want to go again, but need a place to overnight before I take on the route
Die Mond is about 30 km from the start of the Old Postal route, ideal for overnight and fresh start

Hemel en Aarde valley

Boontjieskraal road, Caledon region

Canola starting to flower

Hexrivir valley

Still snow on the Matoor mounrains, icy cold on the bike

Die Mond, nice campsite and surroundings, a definite spot for overnight

Nothing as far as the eye can see, but I'm in love with the Karoo

The flowers are scarce

Tankwa padstal, stop for a cold drink and on the road again

I have travelled these roads from 2009, and never seen water in this river, dry region

Perdebergkoppies - R355

Karoopoort

The sun is setting fast and time to get home, another spectacular sunset

Another great ride
