Tail tidy XTX
Steelbike (Italy) tail tidy parts. 80 delivered to UK. I was really impressed with the quality and finish of the parts. It all fits together perfectly and uses the original rear light, indicators and even the reflector.
The indicator connection threw me a bit until I got the instructions translated from Italian, if you use aftermarket indicators you leave the centre part in, if you use the standard ones it twists out (with the help of a hacksaw) with the centre part removed the rubber grommets from the old mudguard fit a treat The finished article. The only down side is the actual number plate support is not intended for a UK size plate. I'm going to drill a couple of extra holes to get round that though Over all a big improvement

I have a Steelbike tail tidy on my XT660Z and I was also really impressed with the quality.

But is this tail tidy? It looks like you only remove the plastic thing the license plate is on. No light change like a normal tail tidy. Anyone got a link for these?

Not a massive difference, but it opens up the back end by losing that massive ugly plastic mudguard. What I like about it is I didn't have to cut anything off or alter any parts. i'm not a fan of the hacksaw

Very subtle mod indeed. I would at least put a pair of smaller indicators and change the glass of the stoplight to a clear smoke one.
Hey, at least you get to keep all storage compartments under the seat. I. Ant say the same the way I'm going. |

Not bad - definitely an improvement over stock!

Cutting plastics to fit tail tidy
Does anyone have any photos of what and where to cut the plastic to fit a tail tidy?
Thanks |
