Replacing dogbone linkages?

Hi guys,

Is it possible to replace to the bones on the R without removing the exhaust? I've the stock exhaust.

I have never installed the Bones on an XT but the exhausts only take 10mins to remove and is really easy.

Not mine, they've not been touched since the bike was built in 2006, and caked in crap. I'd be truly amazed if bits weren't seized or broke on removal. Hence not wanting to remove them if I can get away it.
