Looking to change the air filter in the coming months and wondering who's using what
K+N v BMC v pipercross v DNA |

Oiled foam only for my bikes that go anywhere near
dirt or dust... I use the OTR foam filter as it has more surface area than the pipercross filter I would use the Yamaha paper filter before a DNA or K&N... If yer a black top rider go with the DNA or K&N type... ...

I'm still running the Yamaha oil/foam filter, but I see No Toil are now making for the Tenere. I've had one on a DRZ, they wash out beautifully & easily in the kitchen sink with their own bio degradable cleaning solution without upsetting the missus.

Hmmmmmmmmmm interesting.
I opened the airbox and I assume it's a yamaha one within, nothing on it to say otherwise, but didn't seem very oily at all. The bike will be mainly on the road but I'd like to be able to take it on a few trails if I ever get the chance or find any, nothing majorly off road as it'll be way outside my abilities, but trails and gravel would be nice |

It shouldn't be oily. UK bikes are fitted with dry paper elements as standard. Australian market ones (like Desert Racer's) are fitted with washable oiled foam filters from the factory.
