I take a ferry twice a week. I put it on the side stand and uses an acerbis strap down on each side from the tube holding the passenger pegs.
The acerbis ones are very easu to use compared to many cargo straps with rackets ![]() On a trailer i put the front wheel in a corner and tie that down/arround the trailer. Then i use two pair of tie downs. One set from the handlebar and one set from the rear tubing by the rear footpegs. It is easiest if you have a mate pressing the suspension about halfway down. Then front wheel keeps the bike in place and with it standing on its wheels and and suspension pressin against the four straps it won't go anywhere ...

If the bike is going to be lashed down for quite a while it's a good idea to put a block between the bottom yoke and front wheel. ...it's not great for the fork springs to be compressed for a long time. Steve

thanks heaps for the replies
![]() i hope you don't think this is a silly question initially i was just concerned with the tie downs rubbing on the fairings if i tie from to the handlebars as the bike is quite wide. could i use my S-moto crash bars as a tie down point? |
