What crash protection for my XT?

Hi,
I've completed my motorcycle driving test a few months back and have finally bought a 2010 XT660X with 8300 km on the clock.
I'm enjoying the bike and the new learning experience, but since I'm a new motorcycle rider, I'd like to buy some crash protection in case I drop the bike or fall off it.

What type of protection would you recommend? Axle sliders? Engine crash protection?

Thanks.

Marko

Hi Marco,
bike is very well designed. Only hand guards are required and maybe sliders on the front forks. For off road you will need few more items, but I don't believe that you will going on that route with X.
Enjoy your time.

Yes, I won't be doing any off-road anytime soon since I want to gain experience riding on road first. So, axle sliders, hand guards and water pump protection...

Any specific axle sliders? From R&G Racing? Or these maybe? http://www.off-the-road.de/en/XT-660...-660R-X-Z.html

Thanks for the advice.
