New to me XTX
Bought an XTX to have a bit of fun on in the twistys, it arrived Friday, but only got chance to get out on it today as I didn't want to lose a month in road tax for the sake of 3 days, feels a lot different to the Ten, in a good way, couldn't push it too hard though with wet roads and high winds, so roll on the good weather
I have fitted o2 and fuel mod so far, my stage 1&2 filters and Arrow cans are in the post, so should breathe a bit easier once I have those fitted I have some maxxis supermoto tires on my WR450 that I may fit to the X instead of what's on it, anyone used these on an X and are they good or bad?, or should I go for something else?, it will only be used for short twisty fun ride outs as I have the Ten for distance work, so not too bothered about the milage I can squeeze out of them..... |

Great choice
As for the tyres be sure to get something soft. I had the pirelli mt60 rs corsa and they are "glue on the road" but pricy. Then I got experimental with Michelin pilot Road radial and could have crashed 4-5 times so took them down in 500 km. Now I have the new Mitas Sport force plus that I will mount and test when spring comes here but they feel really soft and look very very sporty and nice! And they are cheap, 160 euro pair. Sent from my phone! |

Got out again today, bike certainly goes better with the new mods, but the tires that are on it have to go, sliding everywhere, the back is an Avon storm or something, didn't even get warm, I think it's designed for a heavier sports touring type bike.

Great looking bike.....Avon Distanzia amazing grip wet and dry....and can cope well will badly surfaced roads, better than more race orientated Supermoto tyres. Steve
