VIANAV motorcycle GPS

Hi,

These seems like a good deal at 145, but there's little in any information about them on the web...anyone used one / know anything about them?

I use the smaller 3.5 inch version for a couple of years now. I changed the firmware to IGO8. It has a fix much faster then my Garmin car or outdoor GPS. The only downside is its battery life. Only 2.5 hours. But that isn't a problem for my because it's always on the bike so the battery is always powered by the bike. The screen could have benefited from some more contrast.

Changing the firmware is like changing the operating system. Like you go from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I found a manual to do this on internet forum. But with the standard firmware it worked fine also. For the money it is decent equipment. It works OK on my bike for about 4 years now without any problems.

Hey Arjen,

How goes?. Now fitted the vianav. Do you know if there are any map updates available?

Cheers
