Sorry in advance if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs but have you had one before?? The reason I ask having gone too a lot of trouble to buy one only to find they are unique because of being made in Italy and there's no cross over in parts with other Yamahas.
When I realised what I had gotten into escaped by the skin of my financial teeth,it's somewhere in Southern Ireland now phewww. |

TT600RE ??
Bulletproof, they just don't have the same up-rated suspension - but very very capable.

yep maybe consider the RE...from a point of ignorance do these suffer from the parts availabilty problem as the belgardia model ?

after some research it seems the RE version although built in italy has the same engine as the xt...the ttr kickstart model has a thinner motor and flywheel...is it the service and engine parts what you found difficult to source?

Had mine for 15 years (feel awld now).
Spares can be tricky but it does share most parts with other Yamahas as long as you have the part number you should be able to get it. Consumables like pads sprockets oil filters are OK its when you need model specific stuff, to redo the forks cost a whapping 240 for a handful of those coated spacer/washer/bearing things. |
