bad start to 2015

Hi guys happy 2015 to all of u I ride a 2007 xt660x which didn't want to start this morning .motor turns over but doesn't start an I noticed when turning on the bike the display lights up but does not show a zero as usual .Help pleeeeeez

It was dry but got it started was a fuse .So first lesson learnt is before u start a panic and start stripping check the fuses lol thanx guys

Welcome on board Richard.

Glad you got it up and running. Fuse number 6 at fault by any chance?

Just keep an eye on things for a while. Although fuses can blow inexplicably and for no reason at all, they do generally blow because of an electrical fault causing an open/short circuit somewhere. At least for now carry a spare 10A fuse in case it goes again, and if it does, you'll have to delve a bit deeper into the problem that's causing it to blow. All being well, it'll hopefully just be one of those freak occurrences.
