looking at stage 1 filters

been looking around talking to friends about filters a lot over last few days and one name keeps popping up that i not seen on here BMC i see they do a stage 1 for my XTX on this page http://www.bmcairfilters.com/standar...04_d475_3.aspx

Has anyone tried these filters please lemme know how they compare to K&N and DNA please i like to look at all options before i spend my cash heh

I prefer BMC for the dirt & DNA for the road, the DNA filters out flow all other filters, this is because they have a bigger surface area with larger pleats that can flow larger volumes of air.

I would buy a DNA stage 2 before a stage one filter as the HP & Torque gains are bigger with 2 filters than one.

I think that BMC and K&N are very similar filters....

I`m getting the stage 1 shortly the only worry I have over stage 2 cover filter is that I live in Northern Ireland and its mostly always raining and have fears of it suckin in rain water as it is exsposed to the outside more than the stage one ?

I reckon it would be easier to just to rip out the airbox, install a k+n pod. Throw away the AIS as well. However I have a k+n flat panel and it works great, fits well and is easy to service.
