Question PC V

I've got one of those in my XTR 2006. My question was, if i send a map to the PC V, does it overwrite the map that originally comes with the bike? Or does the bike go back to the stock original map when i unplug the PC V?

hi you should be able to copy the map and save it to you're desktop before you do any changes like i did with my pc3 usb and then you have it as a fall back map if you don't like the changes

You can not change the bikes default map (in the ECU). If you unplug the PC V your bike will be like standard again. If you load a zero map to the PC V it is also like standard. The power commander has it's own map and it is not the same as overwrite the bike's map. (That is not possible)
Previous writer in the thread said that you are able to store the default map to the desktop.. That's true, but it is the default map of the PC V not the bike's default map..
As said, as soon as you unplug your PC V your bike will be like it was before you installed the PC V.

If it was possible to map the bike through the ECU a power commander should be pretty useless I think.

Please correct me if I'm wrong..
