KLX650 fork swap onto my xt660x

Ok, so I went ahead and bought a pair of USD klx650 forks for my xtx project.
they are from a 96 model and seem to be in pretty good shape.

I lined up my disc and hub and the caliper will fit nicely with a custom plate made up.

the klx axle is the right length but the xtx has a thicker axle so the bottom of one fork leg will need drilling out and threading to match the xt axle.

it looks like the klx triples bottom bearing is different, but the top one was the same. Will confirm this later tonight.

the triple will need a plate made up for the ignition and speedo assembly and Ill have to fit some bump stops somewhere.

I chose the klx forks because they were only $250 and were rated for a heavier bike.

will post pics as I go.

any comments?
