Windscreen screws

AJ Sutton want 2.38 per windscreen screw. Anybody know if they are available elsewhere for a decent price?
Cheers.

Yes - loads of places, they are the same thread as fairing screws, so take your pick (Halfords do a selection of colours) of bike shops/eBay etc.

Don't panic about using alloy screws, you can fall off as much as you like and the screen doesn't break. I don't know why Yamaha use plastic ones that break if you look funny at them. I changed to black anodised alloy years ago.

here for instance -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KEITI-Wind...item4aa8fae014

Oxford do sets too.

If you throw your bike off the back of a pickup on the other hand

That was with plastic screws. A couple of them snapped, the remainder held and broke the screen. That is the MM tall screen, which is a bit thinner than the Yam one.

IMO the Halfords, Oxford, etc alloy screen screws are nearly as bad as the plastic ones for rounding as soon as you wave a screwdriver near them. I've now got some steel ones that used to be fairing screws on a ZZR1100 I broke for parts years ago.

... or when you throw the screen in a ditch...

... while the bike is still attached to it...

the plastic bolts will do what they are designed to do...

That's not fair... I'm well aware of the lakeland dry stone walls that jump out. And just being pedantic , but the bike stayed upright.
