How many punctures have you had?
Just wondering, because people always seem to stress about puncture repairs, but, as I mentioned in another thread, I've only had two in ten years and something like 70,000 miles of riding, at least 10% of which has been off-tarmac.
Since everyone has been riding for different periods of time, the poll options are expressed as punctures per year or years per puncture. Please add detail in replies if you want.

So for me, I've ridden something like 70,000 miles over ten years, and had two punctures.
Both were screws picked up in rear wheels while commuting in UK cities. I've done quite a lot of off-tarmac riding, including racing, on heavy bikes, and never punctured a tyre. I have pinched two tubes while changing tyres, but that doesn't count

All bar one of the punctures I've had have been on tarmac. Every single puncture (including the sole off road one), has been caused by some sort of discarded metallic object!

It's the only puncture (other than stupid pinch punctures I've given myself when fitting tyres) I've had on the Tenere.

A rusty spike, picked it up from a Portuguese dirt track - Never even noticed the tyre was flat until we got into a small town and the bike felt a bit sluggish in corners. The entire length of the spike was in the tyre.

Nearly 50,000m on the Tenere and only 1 puncture on the rear in Argentina. Small tack. Most punctures occur on the rear due to the front tyre running over it, flicking it up at an angle and shoving it in the rear.
I was a mechanic for 20 years and once repaired a car tyre. It had a split in the tread about 2 inches long. Took the tyre off to find a bent brake pad inside !
