Dumb noob question
Just in the process of replacing my rear shock (in between the rain showers, oh to have a garage!!).
How do you remove the little lugs holding the rubber (or whatever?) cover to the swingarm to get to the shock. I tried levering them gently, only to snap a corner off. What should I be doing? Thanks. |

Try lifting the centre of the clip. Use a small screw driver.
I think the centre section is tapered and locks the outer section in place. (Not tried these actual clips, but they look like standard automotive fixings) |

Hello
I am a new member on this site but I have messed about on bikes for years. To remove the plastic stays you have to press the round pins in the middle. This will make them loose to pull out. Hope this helps. |

Thanks all for the tips and advice so far.
OK, dumb question No. 2: I am trying to detach the reg. rec. to check and pack the connector with dielectric grease. How do you disconnect? There seems to be a little tab, should this be pulled out first before sliding out the connector, or should it be pushed in or what? I am loathed to force it as I will no doubt snap something in the process. Cheers. |

Push the middle button in (goes in about 5mm) and then they should just lift off with the rubber flap...

Excellent! Thanks guys. I will now carry on with the shock transplant (the sun has even just come out; almost forgotten what it looked like). Cheers.

Yacugar ERS. Replacing the front springs as well (for progressives). I will report back once all fitted and road tested. Cheers all.

Don't push too hard though, otherwise you push the middle bit right out and lose it inside the swingarm
