electrics
aup everyone just after a bit of advice, i,am no electrician was thinking of hard wireing my sat nav to my xt. but already coming direct off the battery is the alarm imobiliser and heated grips would one more be a problem.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as it's fused. However, as you start to connect more ad more stuff to the battery terminal there comes a point where it's just easier to fit a separate, dedicated fuse box for all your accessories. It means you will only need one connection to the positive terminal (going to the fuse box), rather than a whole pile of them. Much tidier and gives you the option of a spare fuse way or two for a later date.
