R&G Bobbins fitting

Looking for some help with this folks.

I recently purchased front and rear R&G bobbins from a forum member and I went out to fit them last night.

I have searched the forum to see if this has been discussed previously however I did not find a definitive answer so I'm looking for someone who has fitted these to assist me.

The bobbins came with the bar which goes through the front axle, 2x plastic spacers and of course the bobbins and Nylock nuts.

When fitting the plastic spacers, they appear slightly too thin and as a result, the bobbins sit at a slight angle.

Does anyone have any pics of there's fitted to an XTX (front and rear) and also a solution to the prob, other than fitting metal penny washers to fill the gap? I don't want it looking like a home made effort.

Thanks in advance.

I would contact R&G directly for help cos it does not sound right at all, their products are generally a very good fit and the instructions are good.

The instructions are crap to be honest. They are as follows:

* Push bar through the hollow spindle
* Place black bobbins on each end of the spindle bar
* Fit washer and nut loosely onto each end of the bar
* With a socket on either end, tighten until the assembly locks into place
* Do not overtighten - the nyloc nuts will hold it tight

At no point does it mention plastic spacers.

I'm going to hazard a guess now that the early XTX's had different fork legs from the newer models. Can anyone confirm this?

If this is confirmed then I don't understand as they were purchased from someone with the same model as I have and they said they fitted without any problems.

Surely someone out of the hundreds of members on here has pics of their bobbins fitted and can assist here?
