SPURN POINT RIDE,(East Yorkshire) SOCIAL & OVERNIGHT CAMP. 14th/15th Jan 2012.

I couldnt post on here for a few months, so started this thread on ABR. Heres the original post, but i'll keep this one updated on here.

http://adventurebikerider.com/forum/...-jan-2012.html

Ive chosen the same dates as the First to the freeze, Dartmoor trip. For us Northerners, its just too far away!

The plan is, to stay at a friend of mines campsite. Ive organised photoshoots and camp overs here before, and have to say, the place is beautiful. Great windy tarmac lanes all the way to the site. Arrive around Lunchtime sat 14th jan. Get pitched up, Get everything ready for the evening camp fire etc. Then have a short ride out to the very tip of Spurn Point. (some of the track is sand). Its not a long ride, but there is a small cafe at the end! Great for getting photos! Then head on back to the campsite. Probably walk up to the pub for an hour, then back to the campsite to get the fire going.
This is more of a social thing, as the great ride is actually getting to the camp site!
If we get a few people coming to this, then i'll invite a couple of pro photographers over to get shots of you and your bike etc.
The site owner (Ricky) lives 5 mins walk away, and if the weather is cruel, then he has a 10 seater Hot Tub in his garden!!!! Ive been in the hot tub whilst it was snowing!!! Its hotter than a bath!
Have a look at the link to the campsite, it has a small lake, toilet block etc. We will have access to an extention for power. Water is on tap on site.

As ive said, its more of a social/get together for us Northern lot, but everyone welcome!
I believe the cost is 12 per tent. That includes 2 people, firewood, power etc.
Compulsary beer drinking and story telling around the fire in the evening!
If we get enough people, i'll try get us a pretty well known local singer/acoustic geetar player to come along.
Leave site by 12 noon sunday 15th jan. I believe most people will have to travel in via Hull, so on leaving the site, it maybe worth stopping off at the viewing point of Humber Bridge to get a few photos.

So, anyone up for a January ride out and camp?? post your interest here!

Funny old world...

isn't it ?

I saw this on 'Coast' a while ago, and decided it's a place I'm going to visit. But January,, another very busy month at work so this one's not for me - maybe when I get myself of this god foresaken project I can get something of a life back !
