aldi heated car seat cover!!!!!
i would like to run the above for a journey heading south in december,, i have not bought one yet..
would the tenere have enough in the battery to run one???? i do not have heated grips,but would be running sat nav,,lights.. do not know what heated car seat cover needs to run amps etc.. what does the tenere have spare [if you can understand what i mean]... thanks in advance...... |

It doesnt have a lot spare, numerous posts over the years ( I was on one or two). You need to get the wattage/current draw of the seat cover to start working out if you'lll be draining the battery or not.

Another curiousity would be are all the connections waterproofed enough? I'm not sure I'd want to be sitting on a wet electric seat cover. I like my spuds unfried!

nah! 12v won't do any harm, least not roasting your spuds
!
i would be interested in the wattage or amp draw. if the bike can handle a couple of extra spots at 55watts each i 'm gessing a seat cover fashioned as a waistcoat should not be a problem. last year maplins had heated jackets [reasonably priced] the batterys.... oh here, check it yourself http://www.maplin.co.uk/self-heating...aistcoat-47715 i never had the bottle to get my self one! i cannot see why it would be a big deal to modify using the appropiate resistors and connect it to the bike, maplins also sell neat connectors too keep us imformed! |

seat output is fourty four watt....
will see how it runs... |
