Mitas E08 tyres

Hi all
Just returned from a 13,00klm trip from UK to Syria/Jordan and back , yeah I know but it seemed like a good idea at the time....Comments on the Mitas E08's;
I wanted a set of tyres that would last the trip and they have certainly done that.
Still loads of life in them, I think I could do it again on this set!
When first fitted as a set they were incredibly slippey more than any new pair before-scarrrrry!
When they settled down they were fine.
Over the whole trip I never felt 100% confident, they lacked feedback and I often thought (on the very twisty sections) that they were'nt up to "Branded" alternatives
I did 200 miles in driving rain in the UK on them on motorways and they were pretty stable and the gentle back roads of Germany in the wet were OK.

I know the above sounds pretty negative but to sum up they lasted really well, no punctures and no problems so for long distance moderate speed riding I'd say they were a great tyre combination.

I also had them, I think you can compare them to Tourance. Oke, but under wet conditions you have to stay alert. Got more than 18.000km out of the rear tire, not bad. Front was good and lasted 30.000km.
