Question Metal Headlight Protector, which one to get?

Hello all, was hoping to get some opinions on the metal headlight protectors, i see that offtheroad.de and touratech sell them, but they have different fittings from one another & quite a difference in price...

heres the 2 i am looking at:

http://www.off-the-road.de/XT-660-Z-...-Z-Tenere.html

&

http://www.touratech.com/shops/008/p...2be62a1186963f

I was hoping somone could give me some feedback / opinions on which one may be better / have the more sturdy fittings, would be of great help as i am torn between which one to go for anyone bought either of these here?

Thanks in advance,

GBX

Hi,

I went for the OTR version (Hepco & Becker) - cheaper and with what I think is better fixing arrangements. Just think they could stand off the headlight a bit more than they do to make cleaning the light easier.

I have Touratech one. Fits well, expensive (as you'd expect) and it has an adverse effect on the headlight beam.

Thanks for your replies - much appreciated!
I am still torn on what one to get, the OTR version looks more attractive simple because of the price!, Hmm choices!

I went with Touratech one, and it was surprisingly cheaper than OTR!
And for me it is nicer also, because of the fittings, the lines go better with it.

Downside is that it is attachet to the holes for windshield screen, those bolts needs to be metal ones, to be sure that wibes will hold that steel protector. But original bolts for windshield are plastic ones, so in case of hitting, you should brake the plastic bolts and not the windscreen.
Well when you have those TT metal bolts replaced with plastic ones, there is not the same case.
Hope I made it clear, since I am not wery keen with english.
I still like TT one better.

Here is mine:

Here you can see plastic and steel bolts. I would like to put plastic ones also for the protector holdings, but am afraid they will brake and I might loose the protector.

Hope this helps.
