Centre Stand choices?
What is the consensus?
1. Off the road? 2. Metal mule? 3. Yamaha own brand? 4. SW Motech? 5. A.N. Other? Bearing in mind that I am probably going for the Adventure spec bash plate/engine bars combo, are any of these incompatible? My other bike is an Aprilia Pegaso Trail, a bike nobody makes anything for. You are lucky to get a choice of one. Yam XT660Z has an embarrasment of riches when it comes to aftermarket part choices. I have the Yamaha Centre stand with Yamaha bashplate with SM MotechCrash Bars.
Centre Stand is great. I mention all three as I think some brands don't work well with others. Cheers Brocksamoyed 2010 XT660Z |

I have an Adventure-Spec bashplate/engine bar combo, and a Yamaha centrestand. Very happy with both (admittedly the plate/bar setup hasn't been put to the test; I'll be pleased if it stays that way!).

OE centre stand with the OTR bash plate.
As said above, some combinations have little niggles.

OE Centrestand with OE bashplate and crashbars. Funnily enough it all works together.
This may not be any help ![]()
