I never get weights on my rear when they fit tyres. Not my choice, I just don't get any.
The front always has weights after a tyre fit. I'd like to know also, is the rear deliberately not balanced?

Looking at mine i have got one small weight on my back wheel, bigger ones on the front. but i almost dont know if there was any need for the back wheel one its so small + the guy probably put it on to drag the cost out a bit.

I never balance the rear whell. Simply because it doesn't really matter that much. An unbalanced rear wheel will not have any noticable effect on how the bike behaves. Once you start to notice it you'll already have some serious dents in the rim.
Never did it on any of my bikes, not the TDM, not the Divvy, not the TRX track bike... |
