Fitting Heated grips
Right after a hour blast alog the M6 at 7am this mornig i have sworn no more, time for heated grips.
I am purchased the grips but this is where im a complete numpty. Wheres the best place to wire them from, any photo installs i can view, cos knowing my luck ( if i was one of S Coles triplets i would be the one on the bottle) i will end up with a heated bike as the thing will catch fire. Just looked on the box and its not stated any where, the wiring instructions say they can be wired directly to the battery or a ignition live to prevent the battery draining (which i would forget to turn them off )

I asked this question there is a thread some where with pics I was advised to wire them to the 10 amp fuse near the battery for the parking lights (I think it was) that way they go off with the ignition.
Found it !! Selction of ideas here. http://www.xt660.com/showthread.php?t=12113

That link is gold dust. I have a 12v power adaptor wired directly off the battery (for GPS use only) and although its fine, having it switched with the ignition makes more sense.
Job for tomorrow me thinks.

Don't wire them directly to the battery without fuse for longer use.
