How do I remove my throttle restrictor?
Hi Lads,
Said I would post this up here before I go at this with one of the boys this evening. I have a 2004 Yamaha XT660R which I got restricted a year and a half ago. My restriction on my licence has since expired and i am now going to take it off. The restrictor kit which has been installed is a throttle restrictor in the handlebars, so now the question is, how the hell do I take the feckin thing off?! The restrictor is in the handlebars? Are you sure it's not down on the left of your bike, looking like this:
If so, undo those two phillips head bolts, take the plate off, then screw the bolts back in. Sorted! Harry

Hi Harry,
you were dead right, that was it! I took it off in 60 seconds and have been out on the bike all night here. I cant get over the difference even though there is only a coule of HP in the difference like! Unreal. Its like a new bike so it so. I love third gear, definately my favourite gear on the bike!
