Decent Camp Bed Required - Any Suggestions?

Looking to treat myself to a decent camp bed, previously I have used the thermarest type mats but I have decided a little more comfort would be a good thing. Sleeping on the ground is fine for dogs but I would rather sacrifice some packing space for extra comfort.

Can find some nice campbeds from various US suppliers that would do the trick, but in the UK the only option appears to be either something so big that I would need a trailer to carry it, or something so cheap that I am not convinced they would work.

Can anyone recommend a solution? The two most promising at the moment (both from US companies) are the LuxuryLite Cot and the Go-Kot, would much prefer to get something from the UK though, I much prefer to see before I buy, and I don't have the patience to wait for an order from the US. I am not opposed to cheap if I know someone that has used one previously, but by and large I do believe you get what you pay for.

I've been thinking along the same lines and looked at this

http://http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay...m=110323693227

Ebay item number 110323693227

My only thoughts are will it fit in my tent.

I know it would fit my tent, but I couldn't see it fitting on the bike. Doesn't look like it would pack down particularly small.

Have you had a look on the HUBB?

Ive camped a few times and use the thermorest and have had no problem with it but i understand that sleeping on the floor isnt the most comfy some times.

I use to do alot of hiking (duke of edinburgh stuff) and remember seeing a guy that had i fold away camp bed with 4 legs (1 each corner) and then he also had his mat ontop of it (basically just raised him off the ground)

Cant remeber what it was but is this the type of thing your looking for? or are you wanting a bigger blow up type mat/bed?

I use an Exped Synmat 7DLX (extra length and width), review here- http://www.trailspace.com/gear/exped/synmat-7-dlx/
Cost wise mine was 80 from up and under in Cardiff. Packs down very small and is very comfy and warm.
There's a guy who crops up on ebay selling the downmats every now and then cheaply, I'm allergic to down so couldn't get one, but worth a look.

Yep that's the ideal solution I think. The two links in the first post look like great products from the US, shame we can't get anything to the same standard over here.

The first packs down from this

to this

The second doesn't pack as small, but it certainly looks comfy.

Both products look really well though out, and both come with a lifetime guarantee, the first one is $219 and the second is $109.95.
