Just spotted a new 2-1 exhaust system from GPR!

Hi,

I just spotted a new 2-1 system from GPR! Well, I don't know for how long it's on the market but it's new to me!

You can pick the silencer type, titanium, stainless steel, carbon etc.

The system is around 500 plus VAT. Less if you opt for the stainless steel version.

The headers and link pipe look very nice to me and the whole system look like a quality one.

I am seriously considering dropping for the stainless steel one. I want the manifolds below the bike as to not mess with melting issues.

The only problem is that I have OTR/SR-Racing 2-1 already fitted, with the titanium silencer. But I am hoping I will manage to sell it.

Update, those are old pictures. The complete system comes with the GPE (Grand Prix Evolution) silencer, which looks like this:

Yummy!

this doesn't make sense to me at all!
Why would you create a 2 in 1 with headers still going underneath the engine? a. you still haven't got more ground clearance, b. you will lose power, c. it does make a lot more sound!
It only will save some wheight + different looks

Cheers

Yes, because of less weight, more sound (I see this as a positive aspect), different looks (better), no issues with pipes melting anything etc…

BTW, I changed my opinion. I will not swap my system for anything! Yesterday I gave one guy who works in Yamaha a ride on my bike and when he was returning back, he started to wave his head before he stopped the bike. He said it goes around 50% better than the stock bike and that he can't ****ing believe it…

I also heard the sound for the first time when someone else is riding it, it's quite different then when on the bike, with the helmet. All I can say is that's the best sound I ever heard. Perfect sound! I have baffle removed.

Also I searched the net for some GPR GPE reviews and haven't found anything good. In fact, there was one test in some German magazine for 12 slip-on systems for Bandit and there was GPR GPE in the test, along with the SR-Racing one! The GPE didn't score well (little power, sound to high) and the SR-Racing (the brand I have) was the first (outperforming Akrapovic, Arrow, Remus etc) regarding the power output!

SR-Racing FTW!

I would say for weight saving.

A 2in1 under the engine should produce more HP then a 2in1 with lots of bends, every bend slows down the exhaust gas speed & creates hot spots. Freez is the best person to comment as he has played alot with different exhaust systems set ups on the Raptors.

For my type of riding a 2in2 offers the best results.

I'd love an SR system, but the strength of the Euro makes it a crazy price, the sooner we can get a copy made in the UK the better.
