In case you don't know it already, Yamaha has added another deflector to its lineup from last year: http://www.yamaha-motor.co.uk/access...1D-W0748-XX-00

It has this silver "Yamaha" emblem on it, and it looks to me bigger and more upright on the picture, and of course it's more expensive than last year's pure black. Best you ask your dealer to show you both in person.

I dont think that there are bigger than last year's pure black...only if you try to measure them you 'll find out.Does anyone knows this: http://www.barkbusters.net/products/storm.html
I am in search myself too...

I'm planning to fit some KTM guards; not as tough as the Yam ones but should withstand a slow speed off and keep the weather off too. I think thet're about 26. Has anyone fitted these to their Tenere?

I think a few people have done this with only minor modification necessary.

ktm guards

Just this week fitted some and for the price they are perfect, only minor modification needed (small cut out round brake resorvoir and shaved a bit off the levers, but maybe shorter levers would be best?) and you can still use original bar end weights. Off to Morocco in 2 days to try them out, tee hee!

You would have to attach a larger black piece of plastic to the back of them or they might look naff, should be able to use the original mounting screws.

the last dealer i was in was listing the prices at 90 for the guards and 90 for the deflectors. after i picked myself up off the floor i read it again to make sure i wasn't seeing things, and i wasn't.

anyone else had a better price?

Pete.

paid about 130 for mine. yours must be the type with the orange reflector in.. more money.
mine fell over last week, and saved the bike[gravel] just scuffed hand guard ..
