Any idea what plugs in to this?
Hi guys, I have received an "outsider's" request through the "Contact Us" email from a German guy who has a Tenere and wants to fit a gps, he sent me a pic showing a plug connector any idea what it is?

Its the 'options' connector wired into the indicator circuit (I think) on a 10A fuse and is generally considered a safe place to wire a GPS to.

Thanks all, I've passed the info to that guy, hope he will be happy with this.

It's not the Diag connector, that was some incorrect info. The Diag connector is under the seat. Nick. |

It's on the parking light circuit, so if you turn the parking lights on it is powered.

Also having the diag connector under the cover of the front light its….. DUCATI’s engineering…not YAMAHA’s.:laughing7: Seriously, i have connected a car-cigarette plug on it , which is fixed on the handlebar, from where I power up my Garmin etrex GPS from day one. Been traveling with the GPS on for more than 4 hours continuously, most of the time off –road with a lot of bumps and vibration, and over 35-40 degrees C (Ahhhhhh….. summer time in Greece:campfire:) and had absolutely zero problems……. |
hi i also used this plug to power my heated grips[sytecs]with no problem and intend to add a cigarette lighter connector to power gps/phone charger etc,it's ignition feed and fused to 10 amps so should be no problem
